Thanks to the Head of History, Year 9 students at JFS School in Kenton, North London were able to undertake a project on Eleanor Rathbone in the Autumn term 2015, researching her activism and then producing a piece of work which demonstrated their findings. They were allowed to follow their own interests, interpret the brief as they wished, and produced some outstanding results. These will be in display at the school in 2016…details to follow. Our congratulations to all the students, and especially to the staff involved, Mrs Fox, Mrs Raven, Ms Fursey and Mr Bruce, who responded so positively to our initial proposal and passed on their enthusiasm to their pupils. Some 100 more people now know something about Eleanor and her life of activism.
