Eleanor’s sometime home in London

Rathbone plaque

This plaque was placed outside Tufton Court, Tufton Street. London SW1, in March 1986. A V2 rocket landed in Tufton Street on 1 July 1944, near enough to Eleanors’ flat at No 5 Tufton Court to blast out the windows and doors, and render the place temporarily uninhabitable.
