Just so delighted to see this blog and to read about these plans. There is also an Eleanor Rathbone Facebook page. You can be certain, with child benefit once again in peril and refugees the world over suffering as much as ever, that Eleanor is worth and will be remembered.

We intend to ensure that we spread the word about the contributions Eleanor made to numerous issues , all of relevance today- refugees, women’s rights, child/family poverty, child marriage, female genital mutilation and social action; and that the links with today are raised with today’s generation and her commitment to responsible citizenship is passed on to young people and adults today. We need more people of Eleanor’s ilk in public and private life today.
